Harley Oxford courses are designed for everyone interested in online learning. No formal qualifications are required to study with us nor do you need to pass an entrance exam. Our courses are suitable for all ages and if you already work in a particular industry and wish to upgrade your talents and further enhance your resume. DO I NEED ANY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE?

No. Our courses assume that students are studying from the beginning so you do not need any previous knowledge. These courses take you through all the basics you need for a great foundation in each particular area.

ARE YOUR COURSES ACCREDITED?

Harley Oxford offers a wide rage of independently accredited courses. All of our courses are processes and approved by ICQAS; thus our students are certain that our courses meet the highest standards of online education. We are also a recognised member of the CPD Standards Office. Our accredited CPD courses are valid to count the CPD hours of each student. Thanks to Continuing Professional Development (CPD, for its acronym in English: Continuing Professional Development), students demonstrate their commitment to achieve new skills that contribute to their personal and professional development, improve their job prospects and help them to progress in their profession. HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE MY COURSE?

Our courses are carried out completely online. Once you register on our website, you will have 12 months to activate your course. From the date of activation of the course you can access your online learning centre at any time, day or night, so that you finish the course at your own pace throughout this period of time.

WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF THE COURSE?

Everything you need is accessed online. Once you register on our website you will have 12 months to complete your course. From the date of course activation you will have access to your online account any time, day or night so you will be able to complete the course at your own pace over the generous study time period.

We use the most up to date technology to explain and illustrate each aspect of your course so that learning is easy and memorable.

Each course includes 2 sections: Study and Exam. Some courses also include a third section ‘Exercise’ for practicing what you learned in the Study section, before you commence the Exam section. In order to complete the course you need to receive a minimum score of 60% for each section.

Course material can be presented as text, flash animation, multiple choice activities, true/false, dropdown activities etc – a very wide range.

WHAT SUPPORT AND HELP DO I RECEIVE THROUGHOUT THE COURSE?

We offer student support throughout the entire course. You can contact us by email and phone. In addition to above we have a 24/7 Help Centre available in which you can find answers to over 30 most often asked queries. In your online training portal you also have access to administrative tasks such as extending course time, updating your profile, arranging the certificate etc…

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE ANY ADDITIONAL MATERIALS?

You don’t need anything except passion and dedication! All course materials are available online and there are no additional costs involved in completing the course. At the end of the course you will receive a PDF certificate confirming course completion. If you wish, you can request a hard copy certificate (there is a verification, printing and postage fee). We also have various optional documents available for purchase, such as proof of study letter, proof of completion letter or an eTranscript of your course details. You will find all these options in your online Account.

DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANY SPECIAL SOFTWARE?

Our courses are available online and course material is stored on our server so you do not have to download any special software. You can complete your course on any device, Desktop PC, Laptop, iPhone, Android, iPad. Our site always keeps up with the latest technological trends and is most compatible with the most recent browser at any given time.

WILL I RECEIVE A CERTIFICATION UPON COURSE COMPLETION?

At the end of the course, you will receive a PDF certificate confirming course completion (certificate is included with each course purchased). The Certificate is issued by Harley Oxford. It can be used as proof of study for employment.

In order to be eligible for your certificate you need to fully complete the course and successfully pass each course module (60% mark or more).

HOW TO START AND PROGRESS THROUGH THE COURSE?

Your course includes a number of modules (depending on which course you are taking). Most courses include 2 sections: Study and Exams. Some courses include 3 sections: Study, Exercise and Exams. In order to complete the course and receive your certificate to confirm the course completion, you need to study all course modules and pass the course exam with a minimum score of 60% on the final exam. To login to your online account please click on ‘sign in’ at the top right corner of our website – www.harleyoxford.com were you will need to enter your Username and Password.

Once you enter your online account you can click on ‘my courses’ to access the course you have signed up for. In order for our system to track your course progress we ask you to click the “Mark as complete” button at the bottom of each course page. This will trigger your Course Progress details to be updated (read more about how to check your progress in our training portal. Your course progress must show 100% in order for you to receive your certificate. Once you complete the Study section for the particular module, we recommend that you go next to the relevant Exercises section and then finally to the Exam section to test your study-topic knowledge.

Exam sections consist of questions to continuously assess your knowledge (based on the study and exercise sections). In order to successfully complete your course you need to pass exams with a combined score of at least 60%. You are allowed one resit per course free of charge. At the end of the course you will receive your certificate confirming course completion.

HOW TO CHECK MY PROGRESS?

At any time during your course you can check the exact % of your course progress. The overall course progress % is displayed in the course side panel of each unit. You can also view course progress by clicking ‘My Courses’ in the main menu.

HOW TO TRACK MY PROGRESS?

In order for our system to track your course progress we ask you to click the “Mark As Complete” button on each course page. The button is located at the bottom of every course page. This will trigger your Course Progress details to be updated. Your course progress must show 100% in order to receive your certificate.

CAN I RESIT SOME EXAMS TO IMPROVE MY COURSE SCORE?

Exams can only be re-sit if you have failed the module (received less than 60%).

HOW TO COMPLETE MY EXAMS?

To start the exam please click on the ‘Take My Exam’ button at the bottom of your course information page. To locate the course information you will need to hover your cursor over ‘My Courses’ and a drop down box of your course will appear, select this and the exam can be found at the bottom of this page. Most of the exams include single or multiple choice questions as well as true or false type questions.

WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO COURSE MATERIALS AFTER MY COURSE EXPIRES?

All the course materials are available until the course expires. This means that, if you’ve completed the course already, but you have study days left, you can still access the course. Once your course expires, you will have access to the online portal but not to the course material. However, there is an option to purchase a course extension, which will allow you to extend your access to the course materials for either 6 or 12 months. HOW DO I CHANGE MY PASSWORD?

The option to change your password is located on the left hand side of your virtual campus home page.

HOW TO REQUEST HARD COPY OF MY CERTIFICATE?

You can request a hard copy of your certificate as soon as the PDF copy of your certificate has been issued and is available to download. A hard copy certificate is issued by an independent accreditation body, ICOES – International Council for Online Educational Standards. Certificates can only be requested via your Virtual Campus. To request a hard copy of your certificate please go to the course module page and click on ‘ICOES Certificate’ in the left hand menu. A certificate will be posted to your address. An administration and postage fee applies when you are ordering your ICOES hard copy certificate. Please see details in ‘ICOES Certificate’ section of your Virtual Campus.

THE SYSTEM DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO APPLY FOR MY CERTIFICATE. WHY?

If the system does not allow you to apply for your certificate, the following message is displayed: You must pass the course before you can apply for your certificate. Please review your course progress and your marks. To do that, please follow below instructions: How to ensure that your course progress is 100% To check that each of course modules has been fully completed (100% progress) please open your course material and click on the “Course progress” bar in the top panel of your Virtual Campus. If the particular module is not fully completed (< 100%) you will have a further option to click on “View Unsaved Pages” to see the list of unsaved pages. In order to complete that module you will need to go back to your course material and save any remaining pages. All course pages have to be saved for all of the study, exercise, and exams sections. How to ensure that you have passed the course To check your score for each module please open your course material and click on the “My Marks” bar in the top panel of your Virtual Campus. You will be able to see from here if you have passed or failed the module. To see further details on your marks click on “detailed view” and a full list of your marks will appear. If you have failed the module (received < 55% mark) review the details of your marks and go back to the exam pages to re-sit the exams. We recommend you re-sit exams where you scored the lowest % to maximise your chances of achieving 55% module score. There is one free re-sit for each exam.

HOW DO I REQUEST MY CERTIFICATE?

In order to be eligible for your certificate you need to successfully pass each course module (55% mark or more). In addition, your course progress has to be 100% (each course page has to be saved) to ensure that the course is fully completed. Once you complete the course please click on the Certificate tab to the right of your course module page and click “Apply”. Please refresh your page and your certificate will become available for download immediately. Once your PDF certificate is available you can also request a certificate issued by an independent accreditation body – ICOES, the International Council for Online Educational Standards. This certificate is issued in hard copy only and is posted to your address.

HOW TO EXTEND MY COURSE?

Your course expires 60 days after you activate your course. If you need more time, you can purchase an extension from your Virtual Campus by clicking the “Extend Course” button and selecting the extension option you’re interested in. If you extend the course after its expiry date you won’t lose any of your previously completed work and you will be able to resume your studies where you left off, you’ll find everything exactly as you left it.

CAN I PAUSE THE COURSE?

Currently it is not possible to pause the course. You will have 12 months to activate your course from the date you register on our site. You have 60 consecutive days to complete the course from the date of activation. We recommend between 30 and 160 study hours depending on your chosen course. If you cannot continue with your course you can allow the course to expire and once you are ready to resume your studies you can purchase an extension, we have many flexible options available. If you email us at head of resuming your course we may have discounts on the extension options to offer you.

CAN I PRINT COURSE MATERIALS?

Our courses are designed for online delivery. Due to copyrights, there is no option to print the course content onto one file. You can, however, print individual pages of the course for your own records.
